Ashley is just finishing an MA in creative writing at Leicester and he was trying to work out why this last six weeks felt different to very similar moments before in the fight against racism.
He said he hasn't manage to answer it in his poem, but looks at why at every stage it hadn't fallen away and is going to keep going.
Once written Ashley didn't know what to do with his written piece so decided to submit it to us and we thought it would be great to publish here and here you are, click button below.
